This course provides the teacher/trainer with the skills and conceptual knowledge for instructional design and development of student-centered learning activities in learning environments. The course also addresses critical issues in the instructional design and development process, including effective modifications of instruction that uses advanced technologies for special needs students, and mentoring other faculty members. As Instructors, we are in the best possible position to educate, train, and inspire those that will one day serve our communities. This process starts with our own preparation. My professional learning steams from the need to integrate cloud-based productivity tools into our current training schema. In our profession, educational technology is grossly underutilized, which is a detriment to ourselves and to those we serve. Having the ability to effectively access, distribute, and share material and content over an organization is critical to its success.

By keeping the learners needs at the forefront, the certification program I pursued not only enhanced my learning need but also correlates to the needs of those I will be instructing. To that end, the Microsoft Office 365 Teacher Academy Learning Path aligns with and meets both those needs. Course curriculum will be improved by adopting the new productivity application techniques detailed in the course. The end goal is to help ensure learner success by incorporating cloud-based applications and enhancing current productivity applications for better learner outcomes.
